First Census

Jun 11, 2018 • Das-Memo

A first census of texts has been completed that will be part of the Eurasian Latin Archive. This has been done after the list of Michele Ferrero and considering the platform Sinica 2.0 and the Chinese Christian Texts Database (CCT-Database). There are 300 documents at the moment, some of these from the collection “Sinica Franciscana”, “Monumenta Historica Japoniae”, and “Documenta Indica”, whose copies are partly already available online, and will now be processed using the Abby FineReader software and then checked. In September 2018 transcription of more documents will begin, that will be added to the digital archive. At the same time the census will continue in other archive sites.
